International travel to Belize is permitted. It is necessary to comply with requirements to ensure entry is allowed.

Other restrictions

Tourists are required to book and stay at an approved Gold Standard accommodation. A list of approved hotels can be accessed at https://www.travelbelize.org/health-safety

Test/medical certificate required

Proof of a negative PCR test, taken within the previous 96 hours, must be provided on departure. Alternatively, travelers can provide a negative rapid antigen test taken no more than 48 hours before departure.
Arrivals without a valid test result will be required to take a test on arrival. The test costs $50 USD and can only be paid in cash at the Health Testing Unit.

Additional test requirements

All passengers are subject to health screening on arrival and further health testing may be required for randomly selected passengers.

Government measures

A nationwide curfew is in effect between the hours of 10 pm and 4 am from Sundays to Thursdays and 11 pm to 4 am from Fridays to Saturdays. During curfew hours, movement is limited for essential reasons only. Some facilities such as casinos remain closed and proof of vaccination will be required to access most establishments. Shops

Shops are open with adapted safety measures in place, such as the use of hand sanitizer and social distancing. Spas, beauty salons, and barbershops are allowed to operate on an appointment-only basis for vaccinated customers.

On return

Quarantine required

A PCR test will be administered to all travelers on arrival for €25 EUR and self-quarantine in an approved hotel is required for 1 to 2 days until the result is confirmed negative. Bookings should be made in advance as they may be requested on arrival.

Test/medical certificate required

Proof of a negative PCR test, taken within the previous 72 hours, must be provided on departure.
