- Antique carpets and hand-made rugs require an export permit from the State Association 'Turkmen Haly'.
- Ancient icons, religious objects, and books require a permit from The Commission for work with religious organisations and expert analysis of resources containing religious information, published and printed products in Turkmenistan.
- Animals require an export permit from the State Committee for Environmental Protection and Land Resources of Turkmenistan.
- Funds of up to $10,000 may be exported, and must be declared to Customs.
