Government measures

Although restrictions are gradually lifting, the Ministry of Health can place high-risk areas in quarantine with little or no prior notice. Proof of a negative COVID-19 test or full vaccination is required to attend public sports events and may be required for other public events. Some establishments may be operating with limits to capacity in place and large gatherings remain discouraged. We recommend keeping up-to-date with official guidelines throughout your trip.

Vaccination required

Travelers are required to present a valid international certificate for full vaccination against COVID-19 with the use of an approved vaccine.
The final dose must have been administered at least 14 days before departure. Documentation must be in English, French, or with a certified translation.
Citizens, residents, and those traveling for essential reasons are exempt from this requirement.

Quarantine required

Non-vaccinated travelers are required to self-quarantine for 14 days on arrival at their own residence or accommodation.
Those testing negative on day 8 will not see their quarantine period extended. Travelers testing positive will be required to isolate an additional 10 days.

Test/medical certificate required

Non-vaccinated travelers are required to provide proof of a negative PCR, NAT, NAAT, or RT-LAMP test result, taken within the previous 72 hours of departure. Alternatively, proof of a negative professionally administered antigen test result, taken the day before departure, is also accepted.
Alternatively, those who have recently recovered from COVID-19 are exempt from testing requirements and may provide proof of a positive molecular test result, issued at least 10 and not more than 180 days before arrival.

Testing on arrival

Vaccinated travelers are subject to randomized testing on arrival. Alternatively, they will be provided with a self-swab kit, which must be taken within 24 hours of arrival.
Non-vaccinated travelers will be provided with 2 self-swab kits on arrival, which must be taken within 24 hours of arrival and on day 8 of the quarantine period.
The test can be completed by a virtual appointment or an in-person appointment with the test provider.
