Fiji travel restrictions from Panama

International travel to Fiji is not permitted and all commercial flights have been suspended until further notice. This does not apply to nationals and residents.

Exceptional travel

Prior to travel, permission to enter the country must be provided by the Fiji government. This is applicable to all passengers and can be obtained by emailing borderrequest@immigration.gov.fj

Quarantine required

Quarantine is required for 14 days in a Nadi-area hotel and will be required to undergo further testing during this period. All medical and accommodation costs will be at the traveler's expense.

Test/medical certificate required

Travelers are required to provide proof of a negative RT-PCR test, taken within the previous 72 hours. This test result must be provided on departure and emailed to borderrequest@immi.gov.fj before traveling.

Government measures

A nationwide curfew is in place from 6 pm to 4 am and further restrictions are in place on the main island and Viti Levu where all social gatherings are not permitted. More restrictive or relaxed guidance may be in effect depending on the region you are visiting. Use of masks

Face masks are required on public transportation. You should carry a face mask with you at all times and be prepared to wear it during your stay.

Public transport

Public transportation is operating as usual. Public transportation is reduced in high-risk areas.

Restaurants

Restaurants are open with reduced capacity to allow for social distancing. Restaurants may be closed in high-risk areas.

Bars

Bars remain closed to limit the rate of transmission..

Nightclubs

Nightclubs remain closed to limit the rate of transmission.

Shops

Shops and services are open with adapted safety measures in place, such as the use of hand sanitizer and social distancing. Non-essential businesses face further restrictions in high-risk areas.

On return

Vaccinated traveller exceptions

Travelers who present a valid international certificate for full vaccination against COVID-19, with the use of an approved vaccine, are exempt from testing requirements.

Test/medical certificate required

Proof of a negative PCR or antigen test, taken within 72 hours prior, must be provided on departure. The certificate must be provided in Spanish or English.
Arrivals without a valid test result will be required to take a rapid test on arrival. The test costs $50 USD and must be paid for by the traveler.
