France travel restrictions from South Korea

International travel to France is permitted. It is necessary to comply with requirements to ensure entry is allowed.

Vaccinations and vaccinated travel

Travelers who present a valid international certificate for full vaccination against COVID-19, with the use of an approved vaccine, are exempt from testing requirements.
Exemptions also apply to those who have received a vaccine booster after a two-dose vaccine, if administered at least 7 days before departure. Those who have recovered from COVID-19 and received the first dose of a two-dose vaccine are also exempt if administered at least 7 days before departure.

EU Digital COVID Certificate

Travelers may provide their EU Digital Certificate in paper or digital format as proof of vaccination, negative test result, or previous recovery. Health documents provided this way will not require further verification on arrival.

Test/medical certificate required

Proof of a negative PCR test, taken within the previous 72 hours, must be provided on departure.
Alternatively, those who have recently recovered from COVID-19 are exempt from testing requirements and may provide proof of a positive antigen or PCR test, taken at least 11 days before departure and not more than 180 days, on departure.

Additional documents required

A completed 'statement' form must be completed before departure by all travelers.

Government measures

Although restrictions are gradually lifting and all facilities and establishments have reopened, a 'health pass' (EU Digital Certificate) as proof of vaccination, negative test result, or previous recovery is required to access most facilities and to attend large events. Foreign visitors vaccinated outside of Europe can obtain a QR code equivalent to a health pass in pharmacies on French territory. Use of masks

Face masks are required on public transport and in indoor public places where a health pass is not required.

Public transportation is mostly operating as usual. A health pass may be required for long-distance journeys on trains and inter-regional buses.

Restaurants are open for customers with a health pass.

Bars are open for customers with a health pass.

Nightclubs

Nightclubs are open for customers with a health pass.

Shops

Shops and services are open with adapted safety measures in place, such as the use of hand sanitizer and social distancing. Large shopping centers are open for customers with a health pass.

On return

Vaccinations and vaccinated travel

Travelers who present a valid international certificate for full vaccination against COVID-19, with the use of a WHO-approved vaccine, are exempt from quarantine requirements. The final dose must have been administered at least 14 days before departure. These travelers will undergo health monitoring through an app, take two compulsory COVID tests, and must limit some activities for 14 days.
Those with a vaccine issued outside of South Korea can only be exempt from quarantine requirements if traveling for essential reasons including important business or academic interests.

Quarantine required

Travelers are required to quarantine for 14 days on arrival at a government facility and a test will be administered on day 14 of this period. The cost range per night is $100-150 USD and the 'Self-Diagnosis App' must be installed on a mobile device.
Nationals, residents, and long-term visa foreign nationals can complete the quarantine period at a private residence. The 'Self-Quarantine Safety Protection App' must be installed onto a mobile device.

Test/medical certificate required

Proof of a negative PCR test, taken within the previous 72 hours, to be provided upon departure. This document must be printed and written in Korean or English.

Testing on arrival

A COVID-19 test will be administered on arrival.
This does not apply to nationals, residents, and long-term visa foreign nationals who will be tested within 3 days of arrival.
