Georgia travel restrictions from Romania

International travel to Georgia is permitted. It is necessary to comply with requirements to ensure entry is allowed.

Travelers must travel directly from their country of origin. Those who transit through a country not authorized will be subject to further restrictions.

Vaccinations and vaccinated travel

Travelers who present a valid international certificate for full vaccination against COVID-19, with the use of an approved vaccine, are exempt from testing requirements and are not required to submit a 'special application form'. The final dose must have been administered at least 14 days before travel.

Conditional quarantine

If another country has been visited in the previous 14 days that is considered high-risk, travelers will not be required to quarantine for 14 days on arrival at an approved government facility. At the end of this period, a PCR test will be administered. Quarantine and PCR testing are at the expense of the traveler, except for citizens of Georgia.

Test/medical certificate required

Proof of a negative PCR test, taken within the previous 72 hours, must be presented on arrival. This document must be in Georgian, English, or Russian.
This does not apply to citizens of Georgia, who can opt to self-isolate for 8 days or pay for a PCR test to be taken on the third day after arrival to be released from self-isolation early.

Testing on arrival

A PCR test will be administered on the third day after arrival, at the traveler's expense.
