International travel to Kenya is permitted. It is necessary to comply with requirements to ensure entry is allowed.

Vaccinations and vaccinated travel

Travelers who present a valid certificate for full vaccination against COVID-19 are exempt from pre-departure testing requirements.
The final dose must have been administered at least 14 days before departure.

Test/medical certificate required

Non-vaccinated travelers are required to provide proof of a negative PCR test, taken within the previous 72 hours, on departure.
Non-vaccinated travelers arriving without testing documentation will undergo rapid antigen testing upon arrival, at a cost of $30 USD. Those testing positive will be administered a PCR test for $50 USD and will be required to self-isolate.

Other medical measures

All passengers are subject to health screening on arrival, such as temperature checks and visual assessment. Further health testing will be required for those displaying symptoms of COVID-19.

Government measures

All public and political gatherings are not allowed and events are limited to a maximum of 100 people. Although restrictions are gradually lifting, they may be re-introduced at any time and preventative health measures remain encouraged. The final dose must have been administered at least 14 days before departure. Certificates must be in English or in Chinese.
Those who have recently recovered from COVID-19 and received one dose of vaccination, at least 14 days before departure, are also considered fully vaccinated.
There are exemptions for non-vaccinated citizens and residents.

Proof of a negative rapid antigen test, taken within the previous 24 hours, must be provided on departure.
Test certificates must be in English or Chinese.

Testing on arrival

A nucleic acid test will be administered upon arrival and apart from the transfer from the airport, proof of a negative test result is required to leave the place of residence.

Additional test requirements

Daily rapid antigen testing is required for the first 5 days after arrival. Additionally, travelers must undergo a PCR test on day 2.
