International travel to Kenya is permitted. It is necessary to comply with requirements to ensure entry is allowed.

Travelers departing Kenya are required to present a valid international certificate for full vaccination against COVID-19, with the use of a vaccine authorized by the World Health Organization.

Those who have recently recovered from COVID-19 are exempt from vaccine requirements and instead must provide proof of recovery from a recognized medical practitioner taken within 90 days of departure.

Test/medical certificate required

Proof of a negative PCR test, taken within the previous 72 hours, must be provided on departure. Test results must be validated before boarding at https://globalhaven.org/

Testing on arrival

A free antigen test will be administered on arrival. Foreign travelers testing positive will undergo 10-day quarantine at a designated hotel and citizens and residents will undergo quarantine at their own residence. A PCR test will be administered at the end of this period and those testing negative will be released from quarantine.

All passengers are subject to health screening on arrival, such as temperature checks and visual assessment.

Vaccinations and vaccinated travel

Travelers who present a valid international certificate for full vaccination against COVID-19, with the use of an approved vaccine, are exempt from isolation requirements. The final dose must have been administered at least 14 days before departure.
Accepted vaccines include 2 completed doses of either Astra Zeneca, Pfizer, or Moderna vaccines, or a single dose of the Johnson and Johnson vaccine.

Quarantine required

Travelers are required to self-isolate for 7 days on arrival. A PCR test will be administered on day 7 and those testing negative will be released from isolation.

Test/medical certificate required

Proof of a negative PCR test, taken within the previous 48 hours, must be provided on departure.

Testing on arrival

A PCR test will be administered on day 2 after arrival. Travelers must prepay for the test via the Nigeria International Travel Portal before departure.
