International travel to Mauritius is permitted. It is necessary to comply with requirements to ensure entry is allowed.

Vaccinations and vaccinated travel

Travelers who present a valid international certificate for full vaccination against COVID-19, with the use of an approved vaccine, are exempt from quarantine requirements.
Vaccinated travelers are still required to provide a valid pre-departure test result and undergo further testing on arrival and on day 5.

Quarantine required

Travelers are required to quarantine for 14 days at a designated hotel and must stay in the hotel room for the entire quarantine period. PCR tests will be administered on arrival and on days 7 and 14. Travelers will be released from quarantine once the result from day 14 is confirmed negative.

Test/medical certificate required

Proof of a negative PCR test, taken within the previous 72 hours, must be presented on departure.

Additional documents required

A travel form must be completed within 72 hours of departure.

Government measures

Proof of vaccination is required to access most facilities and establishments such as hospitality businesses, gyms, and cinemas. Social gatherings are limited to a maximum of 50 people and places of worship are limited to a maximum of 10 people. Although restrictions are gradually lifting, they may be re-introduced at any time and preventative health measures remain encouraged. Fully vaccinated travelers may provide proof of a negative antigen test, taken within the previous 72 hours of departure, instead of a PCR test. Additionally, fully vaccinated arrivals can stay at bio-safe / certified accommodation or yacht for the 14-day quarantine period. Partially vaccinated arrivals can stay a COVID-19 certified accommodation or yacht.
Fully vaccinated nationals and residents are exempt from quarantine requirements.

Quarantine required

Travelers will be required to quarantine for 14 days at a government-approved facility, the cost will not exceed $82 EC per night. Nationals and residents will be required to complete the quarantine period at a hotel at their own expense.
Travelers will be required to wear a monitoring bracelet for the duration of the quarantine period.

Test/medical certificate required

Proof of a negative RT-PCR test, taken within the previous 4 days, must be provided on departure.
Arrivals without a valid test result will be required to take a test on arrival. The test costs $50 USD for nationals and $100 USD for foreign nationals.
