Social gatherings are limited to a maximum of 50 people and places of worship are limited to a maximum of 10 people. Although restrictions are gradually lifting, they may be re-introduced at any time and preventative health measures remain encouraged. We recommend keeping up-to-date with official guidelines throughout your trip.

On return

Vaccination required

Travelers are required to present a valid international certificate with a QR code for full vaccination against COVID-19, with the use of an approved vaccine. The final dose must have been administered at least 14 days before departure.
A list of approved vaccines can be found at https://www.experienceoman.om/precautionary-procedures-and-measures/

Test/medical certificate required

Proof of a negative PCR test, taken within the previous 72 hours, must be provided on arrival. Those traveling on flights of 8 hours or longer, including transit time, can provide a negative PCR test taken with the previous 96 hours. The certificate must contain a QR code and be in Arabic or English.
Travelers may instead choose to be tested on arrival and they will be given an electronic tracking bracelet and required to self-isolate until a negative result is confirmed. If a positive test result is received, travelers will be required to quarantine for 10 days, starting from the day the sample was taken.
Those traveling without a PCR test result will be required to pre-pay for the test on arrival via the Tarassud+ platform before departure.
