Quarantine required

Authorized travelers are required to quarantine for 14 days on arrival. Most short-term foreign travelers are required to quarantine at a government facility. The cost range per night is $100-150 USD and must be paid by the traveler. Nationals, residents, and long-term visa holders are required to quarantine at their residence for 14 days.
As part of the quarantine procedure, either the 'Self-Quarantine Safety Protection App' or 'Self-Diagnosis App' must be installed on a mobile device. Health officials at the airport will confirm which app each traveler should use and will provide assistance to install it correctly.

Test/medical certificate required

Proof of a negative PCR test, taken within the previous 72 hours, to be provided upon departure. This document must be printed and written in Korean or English.

Testing on arrival

All passengers will undergo PCR testing on arrival and must remain in the testing facility until the test results are received.

The Samoan government announced on 10 June that it was further relaxing restrictions brought in to limit the spread of COVID-19.
Under the new restrictions, some gatherings such as church services, village meetings, and non-contact sport events are permitted, with social distancing measures of 2 meters in place.
Markets have been allowed to reopen, although street vendors remain prohibited from selling on footpaths.
Restaurants and entertainment venues have also been allowed to reopen at reduced capacity, due to social distancing rules.
A ban on most gatherings and public activities remains in place on Sundays.

Samoan citizens, permit holders and approved contracted workers can now travel to Samoa. Weekly flights to and from Australia have been approved for June. When boarding your flight, you'll need a legitimate vaccine certificate. You'll also need to show a negative COVID-19 (PCR) test within 48 hours or a supervised rapid antigen test (within 24 hours) of entering Samoa. If you test positive on arrival to Samoa you must self-isolate for 7 days. Samoa's borders will re-open to all passport holders from 1 August.
