Slovakia travel restrictions from Indonesia

International travel to Slovakia is permitted for vaccinated travelers. There are exceptions for non-vaccinated citizens and those traveling for 'essential reasons'.
It is necessary to comply with requirements to ensure entry is allowed.

Exceptional travel

Exemptions to the border closure are in place for essential reasons, including travel for work or studies. Travel for tourism is not permitted unless fully vaccinated. Further information on exemptions can be found at https://korona.gov.sk/en/travelling-to-slovak-republic/
If another country has been visited in the previous 14 days that has a virus variant, travelers must self-quarantine for 14 days on arrival, regardless of vaccination status. Additionally, they must report their arrival to omikron@uvzsr.sk

Vaccinations and vaccinated travel

Travelers who present a valid international certificate for full vaccination against COVID-19, with the use of an approved vaccine, can enter without an essential reason and are exempt from quarantine requirements.
The final dose must have been administered at least 14 days before and not more than 6 months before departure. Those who have been administered a vaccine with a single-dose schedule will be considered fully vaccinated after 21 days.

EU Digital COVID Certificate

Travelers may provide their EU Digital Certificate in paper or digital format as proof of vaccination. Health documents provided this way will not require further verification on arrival.

Quarantine required

Travelers are required to self-quarantine for 10 days on arrival. This period can be shortened if an RT-PCR test is taken on day 5 and a negative result is confirmed. All members of the household must remain in quarantine until the traveler's quarantine ends.
Limited exemptions are in place, such as for EU citizens who work in Slovakia or residents of Slovakia who work in an EU country. Full exemptions can be found at https://korona.gov.sk/cestovanie-do-sr/

Test/medical certificate required

Proof of a negative PCR test, taken within the previous 72 hours, must be provided on departure.

Additional documents required

Government measures

A state of emergency has been declared and a curfew is in effect between the hours of 5 am and 1 am. During curfew hours, movement is only permitted for essential reasons. Use of masks

FFP2-standard face masks are required in enclosed environments and on public transportation. Standard face masks, scarves, or FFP2-standard masks are required outdoors when attending events, gathering with people outside the household, and when the 2-meter social distancing cannot be maintained.

Public transport

Public transportation is operating as usual. In high-risk districts, public transport is operating at a limited capacity to allow for social distancing.

Restaurants must remain closed to limit the rate of transmission.

Bars

Bars must remain closed to limit the rate of transmission.

Nightclubs

Nightclubs must remain closed to limit the rate of transmission.

Shops

Essential shops and services are open with adapted safety measures in place, such as the use of hand sanitizer and social distancing. Non-essential shops are closed.

On return

Vaccination required

Travelers are required to present a valid printed or digital international certificate for full vaccination or one dose against COVID-19. The final dose must have been administered at least 14 days before departure.
Citizens who have are not received full vaccination will be required to get vaccinated during the quarantine period.

Quarantine required

Fully vaccinated travelers are required to quarantine for 3 days at a quarantine hotel. Travelers with one dose of a vaccine are required to quarantine for 5 days at a quarantine hotel. An RT-PCR test will be administered at the end of the quarantine period and those testing negative will be released from quarantine.
The booking must be confirmed before departure.
