Spain travel restrictions from Sri Lanka

International travel to Spain is permitted for vaccinated travelers. There are exceptions for non-vaccinated citizens and those traveling for 'essential reasons'.
It is necessary to comply with requirements to ensure entry is allowed.

Exceptional travel

Exemptions to the border closure are in place for essential reasons, including travel for studies and highly skilled essential workers whose work cannot be postponed or carried out remotely. Travel for tourism is not permitted unless fully vaccinated at least 14 days before departure.
A full list of exemptions can be found, only in Spanish, at https://www.boe.es/buscar/act.php?lang=en&id=BOE-A-2020-3972&tn=1&p=

Vaccinations and vaccinated travel

Travelers who present a valid international certificate for full vaccination against COVID-19, with the use of an approved vaccine, do not require an essential reason to travel and are exempt from testing requirements.
The final dose must have been administered at least 14 days before departure and within 1 year. Any vaccine authorized by the European Union and the World Health Organization is accepted. Information on accepted vaccines can be found at https://www.mscbs.gob.es/en/profesionales/saludPublica/ccayes/alertasActual/nCov/spth.htm

Full details on the EU Digital Certificate, including how EU residents can access their certificate, can be found at https://ec.europa.eu/info/live-work-travel-eu/coronavirus-response/safe-covid-19-vaccines-europeans/eu-digital-covid-certificateen

Proof of a negative nucleic acid amplification (NAAT) test, taken within the previous 72 hours, must be provided on departure. A negative rapid antigen test can be presented instead, taken within the previous 48 hours of departure.
Alternatively, those who have recently recovered from COVID-19 are exempt from testing requirements and may provide proof of a positive NAAT test, taken at least 11 days before departure and not more than 180 days, on departure.
Accepted NAAT tests include RT-PCR, TMA, and RT-LAMP. Results must be written in English, Spanish, French, or German and documents must be uploaded in the 'FCS form' to receive the QR code. Further information on accepted documentation can be found at https://www.spth.gob.es/faq?tab=0#who
