Sri Lanka travel restrictions from Vanuatu

Travel to Sri Lanka is partially allowed from Vanuatu. Measures in place: quarantine required, test/medical certificate required, testing on arrival and additional documents required

Quarantine required

Travelers are required to stay at 'Safe and Secure' hotels for 14 days. Visitors are allowed to use all facilities within the hotel but must not exit the property.
After booking, the hotel will provide a reference number that needs to be provided on the visa application process. A list of the 'Safe and Secure' hotels can be found at https://srilanka.travel/helloagain/

Test/medical certificate required

Proof of a negative PCR test, taken within the previous 4 days, must be provided on arrival.

Testing on arrival

Travelers are required to undergo testing after arrival, with the number of tests required depending on the length of stay. Those staying for 7 days need to take 2 tests, the first at the hotel before check-in, and the second 5-7 days later. If staying longer than 7 days, a third test will be required. Vaccinated travelers are not exempt from this requirement.

Additional documents required

A valid visa is required for entry. The online application requires the pre-purchase of PCR tests, booking confirmation at a 'Safe and Secure' hotel, and 'People's Insurance PLC'. The pre-payment of PCR tests and the insurance premium will be collected by the hotel. PCR tests cost $40 USD per test, and the insurance costs Β£12 USD for coverage for $50,000 USD for a period of 1 month.
Additionally, a 'health declaration' form must be completed and presented upon arrival. - Visa application - Health declaration form
