Zambia travel restrictions from Malaysia

International travel to Zambia is permitted. It is necessary to comply with restrictions to ensure entry is permitted.

Other restrictions

When departing Zambia, proof of a negative PCR test taken within the previous 14 days must be presented. The COVID-19 test must have been taken in Zambia.
The certificate must be issued by a certified Ministry of Health COVID-19 testing laboratory. Holders of a test result taken outside Zambia are not exempt from this requirement.

Test/medical certificate required

Proof of a negative PCR test, taken within the previous 72 hours, must be presented upon arrival.

Testing on arrival

Arrivals are subject to health screening, such as temperature checks and visual assessment. Those with a temperature of 38Β°C or higher will be required to undergo a PCR test at their own cost. Travelers who are tested at the airport will be transported to a quarantine facility until results are confirmed.
Travelers may also be subject to PCR testing on arrival.

Other medical measures

Travelers should monitor their health for 14 days after arrival and report any COVID-19 symptoms to authorities.

Additional documents required

Vaccinations and vaccinated travel

Residents who present a valid international certificate for full vaccination against COVID-19, with the use of an approved vaccine, can complete a shorter quarantine period of 7 days at a government-approved facility. Travelers are required to undergo COVID-19 testing on the fifth day.
Travelers can apply for home quarantine between 7 to 10 days before travel. During the application process, travelers must provide the travel itinerary, passport, visa, vaccine certificate, and residential address. Quarantine required

Travelers are required to quarantine for 14 days at a government-approved facility. Travelers are required to undergo COVID-19 testing on the eighth day. All quarantine and testing costs are at the traveler's expense.
Vaccinated travelers are only required to undergo quarantine for a period of 7 days at a government-approved facility.
