- This does not apply to:
- permanent residents of Canada;
- passengers who are asymptomatic for Coronavirus (COVID-19) and travel for a non-optional or non-discretionary purpose. They must comply with the requirement to quarantine based on their purpose of travel and intended length of stay if required;
- immediate family members of a national of Canada or a permanent resident of Canada who are asymptomatic for Coronavirus (COVID-19). They must prove that the purpose of their travel is to be with their immediate family member who is a national of Canada or permanent resident of Canada and that they intend to stay for at least 15 days;
- extended family members of a national of Canada or a permanent resident of Canada who are asymptomatic for Coronavirus (COVID-19). They must prove that they intend to be with their extended family member who is a national of Canada or permanent resident of Canada and that they intend to stay at least 15 days. They must have a statutory declaration signed by the Canadian national or permanent resident attesting to the relationship. They must also have a letter issued by IRCC;
- passengers who enter on Compassionate Grounds and are asymptomatic for Coronavirus (COVID-19). They must have a letter issued by PHAC;
- passengers who enter for the purpose of an International Single Sport Event. They must be asymptomatic and have a letter issued by the Deputy Minister of Canadian Heritage (PCH).
- Passengers must arrive at Calgary (YYC), Montreal (YUL), Toronto (YYZ) or Vancouver (YVR).

- Passengers must submit their travel information electronically before boarding through the ArriveCAN app or the website https://www.canada.ca/en/public-health/services/diseases/coronavirus-disease-covid-19/arrivecan.html .
Passengers must have a medical certificate with a negative Coronavirus (COVID-19) test result. The test must have been taken at most 72 hours before departure of the last direct flight to Canada. Tests accepted are: CRISPR, Ct, detection of the E gene, detection of the N gene, detection of Orf1a/b, detection of the RdRp gene, detection of the S gene, ddPCR, isothermal amplification, LamPORE, NAAT, NAT, NGS, PCR, qPCR, RNA, RT-LAMP, RT-PCR, sequencing and WGS. Test results issued in India or Pakistan are not accepted.
- Passengers must submit their travel information electronically before boarding through the ArriveCAN app or the website https://www.canada.ca/en/public-health/services/diseases/coronavirus-disease-covid-19/arrivecan.html .
- This does not apply to:
- passengers with a medical certificate with a positive Coronavirus (COVID-19) test result of a test taken at least 15 days and at most 90 days before departure of the last direct flight to Canada. Tests accepted are: CRISPR, Ct, detection of the E gene, detection of the N gene, detection of Orf1a/b, detection of the RdRp gene, detection of the S gene, ddPCR, isothermal amplification, LamPORE, NAAT, NAT, NGS, PCR, qPCR, RNA, RT-LAMP, RT-PCR, sequencing and WGS.
- Passengers are subject to a Coronavirus (COVID-19) molecular test upon arrival and another test during quarantine.
- This does not apply to:
- residents of Point Roberts in Washington in the USA entering Canada to return to their place of residence;
- passengers who are members of the Canadian Forces or a visiting force traveling on duty;
