Madagascar travel restrictions from Ukraine

International travel to Madagascar is permitted but limited flights are available. It is necessary to comply with requirements to ensure entry is allowed.

Other restrictions

A private transport, arranged by the hotel, must be taken to the quarantine hotel.

Quarantine required

Self-isolation in an approved hotel is required for 1 to 2 days until the result is confirmed negative. If a positive test result is confirmed, travelers will required to undergo 14-day self-isolation. A tracking form must be submitted after completing the self-isolation period.

Test/medical certificate required

Proof of a negative PCR test, taken within the previous 72 hours, must be provided before boarding.

Testing on arrival

A PCR test will be administered to all travelers on arrival for €25 EUR. Bookings should be made in advance as they may be requested on arrival.

Additional documents required

Travelers are required to present a booking reservation for 2 nights for self-isolation. At least 1 night of the the booking must be pre-paid.

Vaccinations and vaccinated travel

Travelers who present a valid international certificate for full or partial vaccination against COVID-19, with the use of an approved vaccine, are exempt from pre-departure testing, isolation, and Vdoma mobile app requirements.

Test/medical certificate required

Proof of a negative PCR or antigen test, taken within the previous 72 hours, must be provided on arrival. The accepted antigen tests are RAT and Ag. This does not apply to citizens and permanent residents.
Arrivals without a valid test result will be required to undergo 10-day self-isolation and install the 'Vdoma' mobile app. This period may be shortened if a PCR or antigen test is taken within 72 hours after arrival and a negative test result is confirmed.
Alternatively, those who have recently recovered from COVID-19 may provide a COVID certificate confirming full recovery. Travelers are exempt from pre-departure testing, isolation, and Vdoma mobile app requirements.
