Thailand travel restrictions from Zimbabwe

International travel to Thailand is permitted. It is necessary to comply with requirements to ensure entry is allowed.

Other restrictions

All foreign travelers must provide proof of travel insurance which includes full coverage for COVID-19 for a minimum of $50,000 USD for COVID-19 medical costs and accommodation.

Vaccinations and vaccinated travel

Phuket Sandbox travelers are required to present a valid international certificate for full vaccination against COVID-19, with the use of an approved vaccine. These travelers will have a shortened quarantine period of 7 days at an approved government facility. All vaccines approved by Thailand’s Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) or the World Health Organization (WHO) are accepted.

Quarantine required

Travelers are required to quarantine for 10 days at a pre-booked approved government facility, the pre-paid reservation confirmation must be shown on arrival. A list of approved government hotels can be found at https://thaiembdc.org/asq/
Those traveling under the Phuket Sandbox program are required to undergo quarantine for 7 days. Phuket Sandbox or Samui Plus travelers are required to stay at approved facilities for their respective programs. Test/medical certificate required

Proof of a negative RT-PCR test, taken within the previous 72 hours, must be provided on departure. This does not apply to citizens who are not traveling under the Phuket Sandbox program.

Testing on arrival

An RT-PCR test will be administered on arrival and on the eighth or ninth after arrival. If a positive result is received, travelers must follow the instructions of health officials.
Those traveling under the Phuket Sandbox program will get tested on arrival and on the sixth or seventh day after arrival.

Other medical measures

All passengers are subject to health screening on departure and on arrival, such as temperature checks and visual assessment. Further health testing may be required for those displaying symptoms of COVID-19.

Additional documents required

Travelers are required to register for Thailand Pass before travel. The Thailand Pass QR Code received will be required on departure and on arrival.

Travelers are subject to self-quarantine for 10 days on arrival.
