Fijian authorities are currently tracking Tropical Cyclone Harold which is expected to make landfall in Fiji late on 7 April. The Australian High Commission in Suva will be closed on 8 April. Monitor local sources for the latest information. Follow the instructions of local authorities and exercise caution around fallen trees, powerlines and flood waters.
There is currently a nationwide curfew in place from 8pm to 5am as a COVID-19 measure. The greater Suva area is in lockdown. Social gatherings are banned. If you want to get home to Australia, Fiji Airways may arrange flights. Visit its website to register your interest. There are no other commercial flights.
