Major restrictions

International travel to Fiji is permitted for vaccinated travelers. It is necessary to comply with requirements to ensure entry is allowed.

Other restrictions

Proof of travel insurance with international COVID-19 coverage is required. Travelers are also required to download the careFIJI app and keep Bluetooth turned on for the duration of the stay.
Additionally, travelers must stay at a Care Fiji Commitment (CFC) hotel or resort for at least 3 days. This must be pre-paid and the package will include CFC transfers from the airport.

Vaccination required

Travelers are required to present a valid international certificate for full vaccination against COVID-19, with the use of an approved vaccine.
The approved vaccines include AstraZeneca, Pfizer, Moderna, and Johnson and Johnson. The final dose must have been administered at least 14 days before departure.

Test/medical certificate required

Proof of a negative RT-PCR test, taken within the previous 72 hours, must be provided on departure.
Travelers may instead provide documentation of having recovered from COVID-19 within 90 days of departure. This will require proof of the isolation period served from a credible institution or a fit-to-fly certificate from a healthcare provider.

Testing on arrival

A rapid test will be administered on arrival.

Government measures

Use of masks

Face masks are required on public transportation. You should carry a face mask with you at all times and be prepared to wear it during your stay.

Public transport

Public transportation is operating as usual. Public transportation is reduced in high-risk areas.


Restaurants are open with reduced capacity to allow for social distancing. Restaurants may be closed in high-risk areas.


Bars are open with reduced capacity to allow for social distancing. Seating is limited to a maximum of 10 people per table.


Nightclubs remain closed to limit the rate of transmission.


Shops and services are open with adapted safety measures in place, such as the use of hand sanitizer and social distancing.

Vaccinations and vaccinated travel

Travelers who present a valid certificate for full vaccination against COVID-19 issued in selected countries are exempt from pre-departure testing, post-arrival testing on day 8, and quarantine requirements. The final dose must have been administered at least 14 days before departure.
Vaccinated travelers are still required to book a PCR test to be administered on or before day 2 after arrival and complete a passenger locator form. Travelers testing positive on the PCR test will be required to self-isolate for 10 days.

Quarantine required

Unvaccinated travelers are required to self-quarantine for 10 days on arrival at their own residence or accommodation, or the full duration of the trip if staying less than 10 days.
If traveling to England, travelers may apply for the 'Test to Release' scheme to be tested on the fifth day after arrival and be relieved from self-quarantine early, if the result is negative. Those with a positive result will be required to self-isolate for a further 10 days.

Test/medical certificate required

Proof of a negative nucleic acid test, such as a PCR, LAMP, or antigen test, taken within the previous 72 hours, must be provided on departure. This certificate must be in English, French, or Spanish.

Testing on arrival

Unvaccinated travelers are required to purchase a 'COVID Testing Package' before departure, for 'Day 2 and day 8 tests'. These tests must be administered twice during the self-quarantine, on or before day 2 and on day 8.
Vaccinated travelers who meet the exemption criteria are only required to book a 'Day 2 test'. This booked test must be a PCR test and administered after arrival, on or before day 2. Self-isolation is required until a negative test result is confirmed.
Proof of booking is a mandatory requirement for travelers, regardless of the duration of their stay, but the tests only have to be taken if the travelers are still in the United Kingdom on the test dates.

Most public places in Viti Levu are closed, other than essential businesses including supermarkets and pharmacies. Nightclubs remain closed and you must abide by the nationwide curfew which need you to remain in your home or accommodation between 6pm and 4am.
